This exhibition catalogue designed for artist Luanne Martineau would be inappropriate without a tactile design component. Martineau herself employs outmoded means of production to create hand labor-intensive works. The catalogue supports this with a knitted wrap produced in the sixteen different colorways used in her knitted works.
The ‘Mactac’ adhered cover completes this homage to a 1970s aesthetic. The handmade elements in the catalogue make it unique and collectable, allowing the purchaser to take a piece of the show home. They also give the final product visual weight by transforming the catalogue into a sculptural object.
