The brief from Remai Modern Associate Curator, Troy Gronsdahl: “Seven poets will be presenting new works based on historical manifestos. The design challenge is to create a poster based on short excerpts from their poems.”
An excerpt from, SRFS by Brendan Flaharty: There’s something noble about going for the zero. There’s something ignoble about going for the one. Aesthetics aren’t binary but it took the invention of binary and years of attempted class murder for us to get to the other side of the uncanny valley of our understanding. Or we think we got there. Or we don’t. Ask around. Experience is just another way of saying “where do I know this from?”.
